Hi there! My name is Ashwin Khubchandani, and I’m a travel photographer. Not a lot of people can say that they have turned their passion into their full-time job, this is why I make sure to give my best. Contrary to all the negativity we are exposed to these days, there are still a lot of beauty left in this world. In my work, this is what I strive to show. Even in the midst of chaos, there are still interesting things worth looking forward to.

As I’ve been dabbling in street photography lately, I’ve found Hong Kong to be my favorite place. There’s so much to discover, and my goal is to capture eye-opening photos of the region with that signature Ashwin Khubchandani touch.

Another passion project that I started a few months ago: bird photography.  Capturing birds in flight is very challenging but fulfilling especially after seeing the final image.

Getting involved in the community through photography

Photography does a lot of good in all areas of our lives, and in every sector of the society. Everyone needs a hand in taking good photos, but not everyone is educated in that area. Community efforts like holding photography classes after school, and conducting summer workshops, are good ways for less fortunate individuals to have a creative outlet.  Image source: lifehack.org Photographers are needed to document community events and sometimes, the lack of funds becomes an issue. Volunteering and offering your service for free can do a lot for a community and its members. It’s true that everyone is able to give back in his or her own way.
